I love a more detailed outfit post! Often I come across blogs where not much detail at all is given, and hunting down a piece of clothing becomes a bit of a mission, to then find out it's a bit too pricey or out of stock anyway. Sometimes I feel I just need a little more detail about the items; the fit, the material, how comfortable it is to wear etc. Getting more of an idea of what an item is like before purchasing is always a good idea, especially with online shopping!

I was told to bring "every day clothes that you can walk about in but be comfy in but still look and feel good in" - So that's what I was working with, as I wasn't allowed to know the secret location until we arrived!

I decided to head to my current go-to website Missguided and came across a cosy coat in a Burgundy/Maroon. I thought this would be perfect for both day & night as it was quite versatile, lightweight and easy to carry if I got a little too hot. I was always a bit on the edge when it came to mixing pinks and reds, but have recently been seeing it pulled off so well, so I decided to take the plunge and give it a go myself. There's something quite romantic and pretty about pink & red together, just so happened to be the perfect colour scheme for a little weekend in Paris, the city of luuurve.

Burgundy/Maroon Borg 'Trucker' Jacket - £55 - Sold out in this colour unfortunately, but they have Khaki & Pink left! Shop for it here.

Top Tip: Give this jacket a wash, on it's own, it does shed a bit. Poor Bruno was attacked by red fluff for the duration of our trip and it was in my hair a lot. However after a wash I've found no further malting problems!!

I really love delicate silver jewellery at the moment to add a little glimmer to an outfit without being too much. I found these cute twisted silver hoops from Accessorize for £12. I love the size and think they're so easy to wear with a casual look or for a more dressed up outfit. You can shop these online here!

Fluffy black bag was £12 from Primark and also comes in pink!

The black velvet beret is also from Missguided which was in the sale for only £6! Unfortunately it's sold out now, but there really are so many berets available to buy in store or online!

The pale pink roll neck top was enough to keep me warm under the jacket if the weather was chilly, but also enough to keep me warm if I did need to take the jacket off if the temperature did at all decide to rise (it didn't). I got the top in a 12 and found it to be quite snug. I don't mind the fitted look at all, but I would have got the next size up for a little more room if I had more time to exchange. I'm usually a 10/12 in tops but have often found that I need to go up a size when it comes to Missguided items, which really is nothing to cry about. Remember, it's not the number in the label, it's how it fits your bod! This top from memory was around £12 and I was really happy with the quality.

This top is now sold out on Missguided, however they have quite a few other pink roll neck tops available! Check them out here.

I have been hunting down a decent pair of black denim jeans for a while. I finally committed to these Topshop 'Mom' jeans and I'm really happy with the quality. They're what I would call 'proper denim', they're not thin, they hold their shape well and you feel snug and held together when wearing them. So far they've kept their black colour well after some washes, so far so good!

£40 from Topshop -you can shop these jeans here.

Lets not forget these beauties from Public Desire! I've been admiring these boots for a while and was pleasantly surprised when I got them for Christmas from Bruno! I honestly wasn't dropping hints and planned to eventually purchase them after the expensive Christmas period, I was evidently going on about them a lot to Bruno whenever they popped up on my feed haha. Thanks to Brun again! Forever spoiling me ay...

Half faux suede and half patent. What more could you want from a boot really? The colour of these are just perfect and they matched the 'borg' jacket very well indeed! I was quite pleased at how comfy they were to stroll around Paris in too. I admit I ended up changing into my vans nearer the end of the day, but not bad for wearing them out for the first time! Shop these beautiful booties here!

There you have it! A round up of my favourite outfit of the year so far. I've worn this jacket to death with dresses & jeans aswell, it's very versatile and I can't imagine i'll get bored of it any time soon! I do love weather where you can get a little cosy in boots and thick jackets, but I'm so ready for some warmer weather and can't wait to see what new summer items these clothing lines have in store for us!
